A bit of an update on things that are happening this month. Right now I am raising money for Eagle Hill Equine Rescue. This is a wonderful place that saves, rehabs and adopts out horses. One of their main missions is to help Nurse Mare Foals. If you do not know what Nurse Mare Foals are it is quite a sad story to say the least. With the breeding of Thoroughbreds the mare has to be kept open for more breeding so their foal is taken away so that the mare can be bred again fairly soon after the birth. So they are given over to a draft horse female to nurse them, a Nurse Mare. Yet, these nurse mares are kept constantly bred so that they can produce milk for the foals they are nursing. Many of the stables see the foals that are produced form the draft horses as discards and in many cases euthanize these foals. This is where Eagle Hill comes into play. They rescue these foals so that they can be bridle, bit and saddle trained and adopted out to new families.

So for this month and the coming months I am raising money from the sale of my Nature prints, 25% of the profits from those prints will be going directly to Eagle Hill Equine Rescue.
